About us

I graduated from the Western Australian College of Advanced Education, now known as Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and have worked in this field ever since.  Developing a keen interest in Taxation, I undertook the required training and have worked as a Tax Accountant since 1998.  Along the way I have completed further training and qualified as a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), recently receiving recognition for 30 years membership.

A friend of mine purchased a Mobile Tax business and I went to work for him, my initial engagement lasted a little over 18 years, until my friend retired a few years back.  Luck changed and I was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident, taking some time to bounce back from. 

On recovering from the accident, I decided to set up in business for myself solely and henceforth came the start of Designed Accounting.  I chose the name as Designed as it matches my ethos of offering a service designed to suit the individual.  The Designed Accounting logo depicts putting the pieces together.  My business name and logo provide the underpinned basis for the business.

I truly enjoy assisting my clients to get the best possible experience and service, not only at tax time but in their time of need.  Assistance shouldn’t end with the lodging of a tax return and my assistance certainly doesn’t.  If you are an individual, Partnership, Trust, Company or SMSF let Designed Accounting design your tax affairs around you. 

Community Service has always been close to my heart.  Currently, I am the Volunteer Treasurer for the HMAS PERTH I Memorial Foundation, previous to this I was the Volunteer Treasurer for an Australian Navy Cadet organisation in excess of 10 years and assisted the WA Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service with their needs.
